If you want to make it into to something, some life and death struggle, go after these animals with your bare hands. That is, of course, absurd because they’d be killed. So take a knife. If you take down a lion with a knife, good for you. That will impress me.

I have to agree with him. I don't think most of the animals that one would consider trophy hunting are in any danger of overpopulation.

My dad used to say exactly that - hunting isn’t a sport. You want to make it one? Go hunting bengal tigers with a knife.

If the hunter can't use his big brain to make killing tools, then the tiger can't use it's claws and muscle.
The fittest will win, that's the rule.
