That's why you have me here, to liven it up, make it more youthful. No, not immature! I know you people and where you're headed.

I think my first post in the old, old format of the original piano forum was in 1999. A question about a restrung Mason and Hamlin. Crazy that we’ve known each other for so long.

For the most part, I'd like to think that this has made our lives more interesting, if not better.

Indeed, I believe I joined in the fall of 2004. The (old) "Coffee Room" was a spin off for all off-topic (non piano) content and I was in a boring job looking for some sort of interactive forum to pass the time, and the coffee room was it. I think my first thread was something dumb like "I will debate any liberal on any topic" or something and folks thought I was a sockpuppet at first, and I think Apple said "I'm scared", LOL. Oh I picked 89th since I thought Plays88Keys was a cool name, and I wanted something piano related.
When did it move to zetaboards (TNCR), April 2005?

What was the Genesis post you used to determine this date?

Made me think of the girl I was dating in WI at that time. She has a unique name so I googled her. Now she’s a nursing professor at the UW and is still pretty. I’ll have to email her to let her know I’m rich. I think that’s common courtesy.

But who here was on RMMP back in the days? I was. Not frequently, though.

@Horace Let her know you’re svelte and a joy to be around too.
She thought so.

Back before PW, you can find one or two around here who were on Usenet in the old RMMP'er Room.
That's 25 years. Or better.

Larry participated in a cuneiform piano discussion that involved large stone tablets on the village square in Sumeria.

Recently, archeological evidence has surfaced that a trilobite from the Cambrian era was called a "braindead liberal" by a yet unknown individual.

Here's the only post I remember from my rmmp days. A guy named Michael Sayers used to prance around the forum being a dick and getting his shocked face on when people told him he was a dick.
"Michael Sayers" m_sa...@hotmail.com wrote in message
news:1ea8ca04.0310...@posting.google.com...Rmmp is a group of highly vulgar people, to whom any self-expression,
if it can be done, then by all means should be done (which includes
calling others "moron" and "idiot", rather than engage in a rational
discussion). The whole group is like that, because of a handful of posters who've taken issue with you? That's a rather hateful thing to think, even if you were justified in your contempt for those specific posters.
Quite distinct from these persons, I do attach some
value to other human beings on the planet, and I do think a certain
decorum and responsibility for others should be maintained in how one proceeds.Your posts are nothing but passive aggressive foppery. You intentionally set yourself up to be flamed, so you can pretend to absorb and respond as you think a martyr might. All of which is because you have rage issues
connected to social ostracization during your formative years.
