@89th it def has a "Black Mirror" vibe to it.

    Check the opening title:

The ability to do that would probably lower Mr. Jodi’s stress levels, lol.

I don’t get Apple TV, but I just watched the first episode of the “supernatural/thriller/western” Outer Range. (Amazon prime) Not sure if I like it yet.

Just as an aside, job time should have a cutoff. It's different times for different people, but in no way should it impinge on your days off or past a certain reasonable hour at night. On work time, stress is inevitable. On an individual's time, work stress should not intrude.

I worked last Sunday. I had a surgeon chewing my ear off as he was trying to get into surgery before a GI bleeder crapped out on him. I'm wiping out every A neg I've got on the shelf, eyeing how many O negs I have (while knowing I'm not going to give the surgeon every one of them) and trying to squeeze some more A negs out of the blood center. I'm also ticking off units and deciding on Plan B...If the guy is blowing out blood that fast, I'll swap him to A pos and likely sensitize him, but if I'm lucky, I can get him back on A neg before life really goes South.

When I walked out the back door at the end of my day, I trash canned all that stuff and didn't think about it until the next morning. You have to turn the spigot off or a job will run you nuts.

Maybe Mr. Jodi needs to work on turning the spigot off...

@Jolly Yes, I keep telling him that - though his job often comes with after hours texts and things. He does a lot of fishing and biking and skiing as often as he can, and that helps - What he really needs to do is retire!

@Aqua-Letifer It’s usually important. When he goes on vacation he takes a break, usually. And out here his “vacations” are often out of cell service anyway, lol.

I think with emails/texts, etc, it becomes "self fulfilling". I usually answer emails/texts quite quicklly, so people expect to happen.

In my opinion, very few jobs are such that if you do not answer after hours until the next morning, next day, etc will the world come to an end.

"I sent taiwan_girl a text and she hasnt answered yet!!! I need an answer!!"

"What will happen if you dont hear back in the next hour, etc? What is so critical that it is unable to wait for a bit? What will you do?"

"Well, I guess I will wait to here from her tomorrow morning."

(Yes of course some jobs require immediate feedback. But the world seemed to survive for many years when people were away from their desk and uncontactable.

It is a bit easy now to "defer" decisions when you can text someone when something important comes up. Sometimes I think it would better to not be able to contact someone so that you would have to make a decision and learn from it)

                        Texts?

Unless it's my wife or kids, I check them a couple of times a day. Other than that, if it's truly important, call me.

                        Rarely is anything truly important.

                            I'll have to re-watch season 1 - it's been so long.

As an aside, for shows like this, or "Silo," I prefer to wait until all the episodes have been released and binge through all of them in a matter of days (at 1.25 speed, and subtitles, of course).
