Agree. Aggregation features on the internet gave rise to the term, after which point it became almost meaningless. It's now used to mean something like "picked."

In other news, the Society for the Avoidance of Redundancy Society has cancelled its monthly meeting.
It was the most unique cancellation I heard of!

I use the word curated sometimes. Correctly, as far as I know.
I like the Steam "curators" feature too.
