HBOMax just sent me an email where they claim they are putting up a 'carefully curated' collection of movies. Dumbass. Curated implies careful.

But it's being used for EVERYTHING. Menus. Pizza toppings. Socks.

Agree. Aggregation features on the internet gave rise to the term, after which point it became almost meaningless. It's now used to mean something like "picked."

I use the word curated sometimes. Correctly, as far as I know.
