I'm sure we had a post here that explained why the measurement parsec in Star Wars was used correctly.
Yes, it is a unit of distance, not time, but the two are connected.

"Light year" is a unit of distance and yet the phrase contains a word describing a unit of time. Coincidence? I think not.
"Space time continuum" also validly elucidates this connection, subtle though it may be. Probably the only people to truly understand are Einstein and TNCR conservatives.
Education is extremely important.

Btw a subdivision of a half giraffes length is of course a half a giraffes dick, although this length, as all einstenian space time units, will tend to contract and lengthen depending on relativity, in other words is a female giraffe present in a nearby galaxy.
