I've got a 2,000 gallon tank buried in the ground by an equipment shed, and it's full. I get water from a well. I slept till 9am, got up and had coffee, cruised through here, then took my dog to the groomer. Now I'm back home, the dog doesn't stink, he's curled up beside me on the couch, he's on my left, my wife is on my right, and I think that's all I want to do today....

It takes nothing to do it daily and would be a gdsend if things get dicey. The possibilities of cyber warfare worry me much more than a pandemic. I just started that today. In a difficult situation another 55 gallons of potable water could be a real asset.

Fair enough. I'll probably stick to stocking up on potable water because quite frankly we have an assload of water nearby if needed.

I just got back from the store. I was wearing a mask because of the global pandemic to buy prepper shit for World War III. It's outrageous enough to contemplate the fact that these phenomena aren't even related. But the really fucked up thing was that in between buying dry goods and an assload of potable water, I was contemplating trying oat milk while listening to INXS like this is all completely goddamn normal.

A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.

So the rowboat went on.
Then a motorboat came by. “The fellow in the motorboat shouted, “Jump in, I can save you.”
To this the stranded man said, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
So the motorboat went on.
Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, “Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety.”
To this the stranded man again replied, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.
Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, “I had faith in you but you didn’t save me, you let me drown. I don’t understand why!”
To this God replied, “I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?”
