Yes, as bad as it is to lose her, it makes it even harder to not be there. It sounds like you have good relationships within your family, and that's the good news. It's good you have that.

It's quite a compliment to your mom to hear you say that you will miss her. Good for you and her to have had a that kind of relationship. That will become even more of a blessing over time.

She delivered a pretty hilarious person into the world so she must have been a great woman.

It’s impossible before a few months ago to imagine any scenario where you wouldnt be at the funeral. No one is prepared in this situation.
