Here we go....

My daughter just tested positive.
She had a fever on Monday, but seems somewhat better now. I haven't been isolating, so we'll see what happens. You can't get a test for love 'nor money around here. My daughter got one as a bit of a special as she has regular visits with a RI hospital for other reasons.
What pisses me off is that her boss in the bank where she works part time came into work last Thursday, despite being as sick as hell. When my daughter called in yesterday to tell them she needed to take the Covid test as she felt quite ill, the boss said she'd have to check whether she should still come to work.

"Can I get that in writing just in case my daughter infects an immunocompromised customer and my infection kills them? Thanks."
Should clear that up quickly.

Here’s hoping that it will be a mild case and that isn’t passed on to everyone else in the house.

crap - sounds like a great supervisor. I'd take Aqua's counsel on this. I've used that approach in the past.

Don't feel like the Lone Stranger. People in the biz are having a horrible time getting rapid tests right now...COVID, Strep, Flu...Take your pick.
Hope she has a very light case and none of the rest of you catch it.

Thanks everyone. My daughter seems to be shaking it off pretty well. She's had a really, really tough couple of years for other reasons, but this thing isn't fazing her.
I'll wait and see what happens to me. I'm hardly ever ill, so when I am it's major man-flu time, or so I'm told. Currently, I just feel like I've got a cold. I might just have a cold. I can't get tested, so it remains A Mysterie.

@doctor-phibes I was glad I didn’t have to reign you in on that one.
