Cast iron cleanup

I've started using a metal scrapper to clean up my cast iron while it's still hot. Game changer. It all just comes right off.
That is all. Thought I'd share.
(I used to let it cool down a bit and use a nylon scraper. Caramelized gunk was sometimes tough to get off).

After biscuits or such, I just wipe it out with a paper towel. For some other things, I'll set the skillet on the stove, fill it about a third full of water and bring to a rolling boil. Empty, wipe good with a towel or paper towel. Reapplyoil of choice while skillet is still hot and set it back on the turned off stove eye to cool off, then store.

After cooking I use some coarse sea salt as an abrasive. Paper towel and water, and it's good to go next time.
I used to use something that looked like chain-mail, but I think it was too aggressive.

Hot water and a light scrub. Chain mail if needed.
