Hopefully this one won't bite WH staff.

    Ann Althouse comments:

"Imagine if Trump got a German shepherd and called it Commander! What a Nazi he is!"

    More comments:

    "Hunter" was taken."

"When all else fails…get a puppy!"

"Now look here, you Baltic gas passer... " - Mik, 6/14/08

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

What's with the names? Major. Commander. What's the next one? Admiral? General?

Did they put the last one down for behaviour unbecoming of a FDOTUS?

Related, but unrelated (and mildly interesting).

When the US first made a 5 star general, they were going to call that "ranking" Field Marshall.

However, the first one was George Marshall, and he did not want to be called Field Marshall Marshall, so they changed it to 5 star general.

With Major Major it had been all three. Even among men lacking all distinction he inevitably stood out as a man lacking more distinction than all the rest, and people who met him were always impressed by how unimpressive he was.”

“Congressmen with nothing else on their minds could go trotting back and forth through the streets of Washington, D.C., chanting, “Who promoted Major Major? Who promoted Major Major?”

Actually, Major Major had been promoted by an I.B.M. machine with a sense of humor almost as keen as his father’s.
