Meanwhile, in Florida...

He said he wanted to send a message.
And he did - in this case, the message was ‘there’s a twat inside these knickers’
There are some knickers that don't have one?

One would think that by now folks would realize that air travel is not a good time to express your views.
Florida Man....
“Did he just get kicked off for wearing a mask?” one passenger said. “I’m out of here, forget it. I’m out of here.”
Yeah, you really showed 'em, Einstein! You paid for the flight, and presumably you had the opportunity to have somebody read the regulations to you. But you go back home!

@doctor-phibes said in Meanwhile, in Florida...:
the regulations
I'm not defending this guy, by any means.
But, what are the regulations?
-
@george-k said in Meanwhile, in Florida...:
regulations?
Yes, exactly
And then the next question
Who is going to enforce them? And how?
Each mask really should be inspected by a certified mask inspector before each flight.
You can't have any holes in the mask of more than a square inch
You can't have any 3 holes with a cumulative opening greater than 2 square inches
The mask must be free of any viruses
Without this sort of rule and enforcement, the whole mask mandate is a silly charade

Rule 1 of flight club - Don’t be a twat

You’ve not been paying attention lately, have you?

See https://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/pdf/Mask-Order-CDC_GMTF_01-29-21-p.pdf
Also see the TSA stuff below.@Copper asked:
Who is going to enforce them? And how?
Per the CDC order linked above, TSA is the designated enforcer. The TSA has, in turn, published "Security Directives" and "Emergency Amendments" that expands on how the TSA interprets the masking order:

Here is the only definition in all of that that I found:
Mask means a material covering the nose and mouth of the wearer, excluding face shields.4

Too lazy to look...
Did his face covering meet those standards?

My wife’s wouldn’t work. Her aunt’s would probably cover a family of 4…

Apparently there’d been a bit of a shaky landing on the way in, which had created some skid marks

Excerpt below:
============
The following are attributes of masks needed to fulfill the requirements of the Order. CDC will update this guidance as needed.- A properly worn mask completely covers the nose and mouth.
- Cloth masks should be made with two or more layers of a breathable fabric that is tightly woven (i.e., fabrics that do not let light pass through when held up to a light source).
- Mask should be secured to the head with ties, ear loops, or elastic bands that go behind the head. If gaiters are worn, they should have two layers of fabric or be folded to make two layers.
- Mask should fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face.
- Mask should be a solid piece of material without slits, exhalation valves, or punctures.
The following attributes are additionally acceptable as long as masks meet the requirements above.
- Masks can be either manufactured or homemade.
- Masks can be reusable or disposable.
- Masks can have inner filter pockets.
- Clear masks or cloth masks with a clear plastic panel may be used to facilitate communication with people who are hearing impaired or others who need to see a speaker’s mouth to understand speech.
- Medical masks and N-95 respirators fulfill the requirements of the Order.
The following do not fulfill the requirements of the Order.
- Masks worn in a way that does not cover both the mouth and nose
- Face shields or goggles (face shields or goggles may be worn to supplement a mask that meets above required attributes)
- Scarves, ski masks, balaclavas, or bandannas
- Shirt or sweater collars (e.g., turtleneck collars) pulled up over the mouth and nose.
- Masks made from loosely woven fabric or that are knitted, i.e., fabrics that let light pass through
- Masks made from materials that are hard to breathe through (such as vinyl, plastic or leather)
- Masks containing slits, exhalation valves, or punctures
- Masks that do not fit properly (large gaps, too loose or too tight)

Actually, this part could be relevant
4 A properly worn mask completely covers the nose and mouth of the wearer. A mask should be secured to the head, including with ties or ear loops. A mask should fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face. Masks do not include face shields. Masks can be either manufactured or homemade and should be a solid piece of material without slits, exhalation valves, or punctures. Medical masks and N-95 respirators fulfill the requirements of this SD. CDC guidance for attributes of acceptable masks in the context of this SD is available
In this case, if the panties completely covered his mouth and nose, he’s good to go.

TSA’s publication refers to CDC.
https://www.tsa.gov/sites/default/files/tsa-210819-6-4_4-ea-1546-21-01b.pdf page 2 footnote 4 refers to CDC‘s guidance, the one I excerpted earlier.

Mr. Jenne's mask probably didn't have the required two or more layers.
Lock him up.

We all know he was deliberately being a knobhead. He got exactly what he deserved, rules or not.

Au contraire. Women's panties have two layers in the crotch, one end unsewn.
