Traindeer

Struck me as funny.
Before I met Mrs. George, she had bought a horse whom she named "Charlie."
Charlie was, to put it mildly, a knucklehead. Sweet horse, but very skittish and difficult to control. He was a thoroughbred/saddlebred cross and had come off the racetrack.
Mrs. George bought him from an unscrupulous dealer (look up "Silas Jayne" if you're interested) and boarded Charlie at a barn near the (then) Santa Fe tracks in southwest suburban Chicago.
She would ride him near the tracks, and whenever a train came along, Charlie thought he should chase the train. She was a VERY inexperience rider at the time, and the engineers always thought that it was a hoot that this horse wanted to come along. So, of course, they blasted the horn, and Charlie got all the more excited.
She came off many, many times. That's not a bad thing when you're in your mid-20s, of course.
Now? Yeech!
Mrs George and Charlie....
