Rittenhouse verdict - how will America react?

@mik said in Rittenhouse verdict - how will America react?:
I find it hard to believe that blacks will riot over one white guy shooting two other white guys. Antifatheads maybe.
Agreed, I don't think there will be much uproar about this. Relatively speaking, I guess.

There will be attempts by a small number of people to spark some flames, we'll see if they succeed. You can rely on one thing. Those few people who attempt to start some rioting will be ignored by pop culture, and not giggled at by leftists.

I take it you guys aren’t watching what’s happening outside of the courthouse? By the way, the stupid idiots have already given the defense everything they need to get a conviction overturned. They are there to protest for “justice” lol.
I’m pissed as hell about what has happened to the word equity. What’s happened to the word justice is even worse.

Here's a heaping helping of mainstream leftist opinion regarding this trial, brought to you by a tenured professor of whatever, with the requisite skin color to be a truly wise expert on these matters:
What Kyle Rittenhouse's tears reveal about America
tl;dr: America has a moral obligation to find Mr Rittenhouse guilty. Also, January 6, which was totally about race.

Police declared a riot in downtown Portland, Oregon after a group protesting Kyle Rittenhouse’s acquittal damaged property and threw rocks at cops on Friday night.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office declared the riot just after 9 p.m. local time after 200 protesters began breaking windows and doors of city buildings and “throwing objects” at cops, officials said.
The group also talked about burning down the city’s Justice Center, which houses the Portland Police Bureau headquarters, a county jail and some courtrooms, KOIN TV reported.
Police Chief Chuck Lovell told the outlet earlier in the night that it was “reasonable to expect there will be some type of reaction to the verdict.”
Video from the scene posted by local independent journalist Grace Morgan showed armed police officers retreating as protesters advanced toward them. Other videos showed windows smashed at the Multnomah County Office building.
The crowd had largely dispersed by 11 p.m. local time, according to KOIN TV.
It was not clear if any arrests had been made late Friday.

"Terribly upset. This sets a very dangerous precedent because since he’s not guilty on all [five] counts — this man went up there from Illinois to Wisconsin with an AR-15 with the intent to kill," said protester Shabbir Manjee.
Ah... another mental giant armed with facts.

the most unsettling part is that our POTUS would agree with the sentiment. Like he agreed that Trump said neonazis were fine people.
No word from the people who voted for him regarding whether that's unsettling to them, too.
-
No word from our tribalist leftist friends about whether narrative-as-truth in the mainstream politics and culture of their side, is unsettling in any way.
I have to hand it to the leftist establishment, they know exactly how and why people think and feel, and they are good at manipulating the masses.

Yesterday's WSJ:
A jury on Friday acquitted Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager charged with killing two people during unrest last year, after 3½ days of deliberations in a highly watched case that turned on whether the teen had acted in self-defense.
Mr. Rittenhouse, now 18 years old, faced charges of intentional, reckless and attempted homicide, and reckless endangerment. The case revolved around his actions the night of Aug. 25, 2020, as he patrolled the city with an AR-15-style rifle and a small medical kit amid unrest following the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
