Finally they let somebody from the real world help with the design. I love the additional ports. MagSafe is back. And finally one can configure up to 64GB of RAM. And the useless additional display strip is gone.
Good move. I'll buy one, probably some time next year.

What, no ethernet?
MagSafe is back.
Mrs. George's MacBook Air does MagSafe. It's wonderful, NO?
I gather it can charge via thunderbolt as well, albeit not as quickly.

Oh, another thing - the notch for a camera. I get that's a lot less obtrusive than a clip-on camera, but in the interest of smaller bezels, I think it was a bit of a design fail.

Everything I've read is that the M1 Macs (including the pro and max versions are remarkable in performance. Certainly suited to those who need that kind of capability.
But, this notch?
What the HELL were you thinking?

I don’t mind the notch. I don’t think it would ever be a real problem in practice. It’s at worst a minor nuisance.
Not having an HDMI port is a way more relevant problem. Luckily they fixed that one.

Stuff on the menu bar behind the notch that you can’t see?
Those would be your Easter eggs! -

AirPods - don't use 'em. Not interested.
Not in the market at all for a computer. But AirPods (I have the pro version) was the best tech purchase I made in a long while
I love em. Noise cancel is great. Comfort is great. Sound is great. What’s not to like?

I use mine all the time, too. Cuts down considerably on road noise while on a bike.
