However, "get out of the way" is not rhetoric that will convince people.
We're waaaaaay past that, Jerry.

I hear the thundering silence from Sen. Joe Manchin about "bipartisanship" and "finding 10 good Republicans" to deal with the dead ceiling using regular order.
Tell us some more about the dead ceiling. Surely they aren't going to arkancide Manchin...

Not raising the debt ceiling wasn't a good idea during the Trump administration and it isn't a good idea now.
It's silly that we split the decision to charge money on our credit card and pay the credit card bill.
Any responsible adult knows that the decision to do one implies the decision to do the other.

One of the greatest lies leftists ever convinced themselves of is that they were forced into marginalizing Trump supporters, because Trump was so divisive.
Marginalizing Trump supporters is a choice, forced upon us by propriety, patriotism, and good taste.

Sen. McConnell and the Senate GOP "got out of the way" just enough for the Senate Democrats to kick the can down the calendar for another two months. Enjoy the intermission. The show will resume in December.
