We live in one of the suburbs of Minneapolis. The local city/jurisdiction in which we live has been really great. There is a "see click fix" app (I think used across the country) where you can easily add an issue that needs to be fixed. For example, 3 days ago I logged a big crack in a sidewalk (that would really jolt the stroller or cause someone to trip) as well as a cracked curb that was starting to fall apart.

Within 72 hours a crew has come out and fixed both items. It's nice to see a direct (and effective) use of my taxes at work.

You are indeed in Minnesooooota now, and you live among the Swedes, Norwegians, and Germans who are very strict and focused on all things that need to be fixed or cleaned. It's not a bad thing.
