Cooking with Gas?
-
I recently went from electric to gas. The only difference I’ve seen is you can switch from one burner to another easily if you need to change the arrangement mid-cooking, and the oven heats up faster. Otherwise so far the quality of cooking seems to be the same. Maybe it’s the cook though…

They do make dual appliances...gas top, electric oven...

Yes, but having two ovens is awesome. Even though the gas oven does not heat up as fast or have the temperature stability as the electric, we still use it.

Can't can on induction. Too heavy.

When we were buying for our condo, that was one of the "must haves" for me. The "warming drawer" at the bottom is actually a real oven, albeit a small one. Perfect for baking potatoes, or dishes that are only about 5 inches tall.
Looks like this, but with gas burners on the top.

Gas > electric for ranges, if you're cooking. If you're "heating," knock yourself out with either, you're not going to notice the difference.
Ovens are a blind spot for me, though. Generally speaking I can tell a slight difference in outcome between a good one and a bad one, but not enough to know how to make the most of a more expensive model.

Wood and charcoal beat all...
