You guys do understand how these lists work right? They don’t give a flying fig which bands were the 25 best. What they do want us for everyone to be talking about their list and how they disagree do more people will click on the link to see it (and the ads). I’d much rather make our own list…

Most of them have that rebel without a clue look.
Notable exceptions: Beach Boys, Hendrix, Beatles, coincidentally that may be the best 3
By my count, there is one woman and one person of color, so diversity has been served.

The Beach Boys are sacred. They are unparalleled not just in the world of music, but in the world of sound.
Don't no one say bad about the Beach Boys. If you do . . .

Not only do I dislike the Beachboys, I am also at a total loss as to why anybody likes them.
Furthermore, Liam Neeson agrees with me.

Name the only Grammy Award winning Beach Boy (and for what).

Yeah but we're arguing here, not there, so we're winning and they don't get the engagement.

Same. It's contrived, shallow nonsense.

Hey I like The Beach Boys a lot. The Beatles (I never really liked) stole from them and the Everly Brothers.

Good artists borrow, great artists steal.

Everyone loves the Beach Boys, I have seen them in concert many times. Members of the band have included Glen Campbell and the Captain & Tennille. I have seen them share a stage with the Boston Symphony and with Chicago.
Except, of course, President Ronald Reagan’s Secretary of the Interior James G. Watt.
The Beach Boys had marked Independence Day at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., in 1980, 1981 and 1982, performing to large audiences each time, and it had been expected that a fourth appearance would take place. Watt, however, had other ideas – without naming the band directly, he announced that no more rock acts would take part on July 4, saying they attracted “the wrong element.” “We’re not going to encourage drug abuse and alcoholism, as was done in the past,” he said.

I would agree.
But then I have never liked Van Morrison either.

OMG, YES!
Never understood the attraction.
Years ago, I saw Michael Feinstein do a big band version of "Moondance," and it was quite good.
Good song, questionable artist.

Funny, I was just listening to Van Morrison on the way home tonight. I skipped a few songs before I got to one I would listen to.
