    That sounds reasonable

Our favorite mainstream media now has it within their power to make a black woman president

Trump calls on Biden to ‘resign in disgrace’ over crisis in Afghanistan

Former President Donald Trump Sunday called on President Biden to “resign in disgrace” over his handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal and other issues.

“It is time for Joe Biden to resign in disgrace for what he has allowed to happen to Afghanistan, along with the tremendous surge in COVID, the Border catastrophe, the destruction of energy independence, and our crippled economy,” the former president wrote in a statement.

Buck stops with the President, so Joe is on the hook for this one . But, let’s not act like Trump had any great thinking or actions on this topic.

You really should educate yourself with the facts before you spew your stupid Trump digs. Trump began refusing our presence in Afghanistan during his last year in office. He made it clear to both the Afghanistan military as well as the Taliban that we were pulling out - but he did 3 things:

        1. He didn't give a date when it would happen
        2. He made it clear that we would leave an elite force in place in case the Taliban decided to be opportunistic.
        3. He told the leaders of the Taliban that if even one American was harmed during the process we would unleash he'll on them.

Not a single casualty occurred during that time, so stop trying to equate the two. It just shows your bias.

I'm not sure the pullout would have been much better in the last administration, but I do think Biden is perceived as weak. Trump has his weak points but backing down from a fight is not one of them.

I don't give a flying f*ck what Trump demands. He needs to remember where he is -- or rather, where he isn't -- and STFU on matters of state.

That would be nice. From all previous presidents.

Or better yet if they want to comment, they should get together and try and find a united statement. I know, never gonna happen.

Better chance they will all STFU. Which is to say none.

I've not seen any commentary from former presidents on all this. I think there's a tradition of not butting in; there's an understanding of what it's like to be in the hot seat, and they had their turn and now it's so-and-so's turn, and leave him to it.

It's kind of like when Tom Brady was asked to comment on Aaron Rodgers' troubles, and what advice he would give him. I don't recall Brady's exact words, but it was something to the effect that Rodgers knows what he's doing and he, Brady, had faith that Rodgers would handle it just fine.

                    Kind of like that.

One big difference between Trump and other former Presidents, Trump is still a potential candidate for the office in the future.

yes, and 44 was the first president in memory to blame all his problems on his predecessor.

I guess I wonder what a long term presence there that guaranteed women's education, etc. would have had. That would be nearly two generations of Afghans growing up in that situation. We're still in South Korea and Europe We still have a small presence in Iraq.
