The comparison to statues will eventually come back to haunt them. Sports writers are delighted. 😆

The claim of course, is that it's offensive to Indians. The truth is, it only serves to further remove awareness of native Americans. Next thing you know they'll start demanding state names be changed, street names, etc until native Americans have been canceled completely. I guess that's to be expected though when lefties start "helping"... they're more interested in making themselves feel good than in solving an actual problem. They demolished black culture with their "help", for example.

                    Ow about these team names....

Native Americans have so many real issues. Window dressing does absolutely nothing to address any of them. I don't know, but suspect that this type of thing offends more of them than it pleases. Either that or they just don't care.

Louis Francis Sockalexis (October 24, 1871 – December 24, 1913), nicknamed The Deerfoot of the Diamond, was an American baseball player. Sockalexis played professional baseball in the National League for three seasons, spending his entire career (1897-1899) as an outfielder for the Cleveland Spiders.

A Native American from the Penobscot tribe, Sockalexis is often identified as the first person of Native American ancestry to play in the National League and Major League Baseball,[1] though many conflicting reports exist.

When the Cleveland Naps changed their name to the Indians in 1915, the franchise reportedly did so to honor Sockalexis

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
