The second round were righteous and on the right side of history. Their work was undone by bean counters in higher courts who did not agree that rape is wrong, full stop.

The first round made the agreement because they didn't have enough to convict him and they knew it. They set it up that way to help the civil case. If Cosby takes the 5th in the civil case, he probably walks away from that, too, or the case never even goes to court.
In fact, if that doesn't happen, then that comedian doesn't make the joke 6 years ago, and we likely don't have the #metoo movement take off the way it did.

I think the first prosecutor wanted something, so he took what he knew he could get...Which is to hurt Cosby in the pocketbook for millions.

Bill Cosby, the once-beloved TV icon whose image crumbled during a highly publicized sexual assault scandal in recent years, is now facing foreclosure on his Manhattan townhouse.
Court documents show the 87-year-old allegedly owes millions on the Lenox Hill property, which he and his wife, Camille, purchased back in 1980.
CitiMortgage filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court this week, claiming the former sitcom star defaulted on a $4.2 million loan tied to the four-story residence at 243 E. 61st St., according to Crain’s.
The financial giant alleges the Cosbys still owe $3.7 million in principal, with the rest racking up in interest and fees.
The brownstone, located between Second and Third avenues, spans 5,000 square feet.
