Take a dip

D4 texted the family about 20 minutes ago (C is her husband, and Ash is G2)....
’m trying to explain what happened this afternoon, but I’m still kind of in shock so bear with me. This afternoon C and I decided to take Ash on a short hike. We found a path by the salt creek, so we decided to go there. Maybe 5 minutes into the hike, Ash is leading, I’m holding his hand behind him, and C is behind me. We get to a part that looks a little muddy, so I told ash to go slow and held his hand. You guys, it was like a fucking mudslide. Ash started slipping in, so I slipped in after him. As soon as I hit the water, I thought I could feel the ground. Wrong. It was so deep, and the current was so strong. I was treading and holding onto ash. I managed to grab hold of a root or a vine. C managed to grab Ash and then somehow I was able to pull myself out, then go back for Ash. Once I had ash on solid ground c wiggled his way back up. We hiked back to the car, completely covered in mud. Wiped what we could then went home.
I really thought I was going to lose ash. The current was so strong and it was too deep. My phone was in my hand, so if I don’t respond it probably died.

Man… You forget how quickly things can go bad. So glad they are safe!

Roofs often have hail damage that you may not notice right off. May want to check it out, just in case.
Alternatively, if you need a new roof, random whacks with the rounded end of a 16oz ballpeen hammer will deliver similar damage.
