Happy Birthday Jolly’s Boots!
Oh, and Aqua, too.

Thanks, everybody!
There's a place I drove by a few days ago: Randy's Ribs, touted as the only true open pit BBQ place in all of Maryland. (For those unawares, pit beef is very much a Thing in central Maryland. Yeah, I know, I don't get it, either.) The restaurant is all kinds of fantastic. I took a picture, and I'll share it here once the roll's developed. When you're in line, you have almost no indication that you're not in 1975. One line on a sign (that's definitely as old as Jolly's boots) indicates they have a website, and that's it. The line forms in the parking lot, which it shares with a Baptist church and Rotary Club Bingo. If you like the sauce, it comes in 3 sizes: Bottle, Jug, and Yellow Jug. It's freaking great.
Today, I sampled Randy's Ribs, and saw that it was Good.

Thanks all! Aside from a cool family road trip, I pulled my bike out of storage and
broke a toe?bought some crap to trick it out some. Gatorskin tires, Dura-Ace cables, new chainring, new brake levers, and I'm converting the front thru-axle to a quick release. The work will be most of the fun.My wife's gonna take over the ebike as soon as it's fixed up. It'll haul the kiddo in a trailer. It's gonna be speedy.

Converting a wheel is easy, but how do you convert the frame?

Nothing on the frame, but the axle might prove to be a bit of a challenge. How do you get the cones and cups to be the right diameter, distance, etc? There are adapters you can get but it seems you have to take a ton of measurements.

Gatorskin tires
I just bought some of those after getting sick of punctures. I did something wrong, as the inner tube blew the tyre clean off the rim.
It made a hell of a noise, but seems undamaged - which is more than I can say for the inner tube.
