I read this a while ago, so my information might be out of date. But the way I understand it: Bolton went through the classified info review process and didn't receive any further edits, but didn't get approval either.

So - he wasn't approved to publish, but he wasn't getting any suggestions for changes/remove of classified info either.

I think his position would be that he was being held up by red tape.

Should be interesting.

The Oathkeepers guy said he'll testify as well. As long as it's live and unedited for broadcast.

It is accurate.

It is in no way offensive.

But it was outlawed for no reason I can figure out maybe 15 years ago.

It was replaced with Asian, which is obviously inaccurate. Asia goes all the way over to Turkey but Asian is used to describe those from Eastern Asia.

I say bring back Oriental. I don't think there was ever any disrespect associated with it.

The retort is as follow:

Suppose you go by the Lynn Patton tweet you linked to, it shows a CNN person's email saying three named people "knew the video was going to be used for the RNC." When did they know? Did they know before they were recorded or after? If they know only after they were recorded, then there is no inconsistency with the NYTimes report. Furthermore, the CNN person's email also says the three named people asked the video to be cut -- it is not literally clear what "cut" might mean in this email, but it would be reasonable to guess that by "cut" they mean they do not want the video shown, which again would be consistent with NYTimes quoting one of the recorded tenant as unsupportive of Trump and furious about not wanting the video to be shown in the RNC. Look also at Lynn Patton's question: "Do you honestly think @WeRJamestown would film 4 civilians WITHOUT also telling them it’s for the #RNC & getting waivers from each resident" (note that so far there is no evidence provided to show what the waivers say or that the waivers even exist), ask yourself this: Do you honestly believe Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf's claim that he did not know a video in which he participated in a naturalization ceremony would be broadcast during the Republican National Convention?

The flattening is off by roughly 90 degrees.

Er, no. My settings are exactly like my old (2014) iMac. Speed is noticeably greater, and with the I/O that the studio affords, it's very nice.

My desk with all peripherals attached. I went with an LG 32" 4K monitor. Seems pretty nice, but I have to play with settings to get the contrast up a bit. I am struggling a bit getting my wireless keyboard to connect, so it's a hard-wired USB Apple keyboard connected to a hub.

Behind the display, on the right, is my HP printer.

On the shelving unit adjacent to my desk is where the Mac Studio sits. On top of it is a nice USB hub that can house 2 SSDs - on 2.5 inch SATA and another NVME. I have one of my backup drives installed in that. You can see USB dongles for mouse, etc.

On the shelf below that is my Thunderbay IV enclosure. Behind it is a UPC. The Thunderbay houses 4 HDDs. One is a Time Machine drive. One is a backup that I use via Carbon Copy Cloner. One is a "Music" drive which houses all the CDs I've ripped over the years, and the 4th houses movies and home videos. All of those media files are backed up to my backup drive that I mentioned earlier.

I need to do some serious cable management to get things tidy, but that's a project for another day.

The difference among PianoTeq pianos becomes more obscure if "local control" is not disabled.

My piano doesn’t play any part in producing the sounds beyond the midi output. That goes to the computer, where my headphones are plugged in. The piano’s volume stays at zero. Other models have a line in, where you can play the Pianoteq sounds through the piano speaker, but my model has no inputs.

That sounds like defeatism. How bourgeois.
