I've known my family practice doc since college. It would be one of those "I'll show you mine, if you'll show me yours" conversations.

@Mik said in A Clear and Present Danger: Yep. It’s said green is a religion. It is certainly faith-based. It's going to be a short-lived religion. When Greta is shivering in the dark and her solar powered flashlight doesn't shine bright enough to see the path to the outhouse, she (or any of the rest of them) won't care what they burn to make the electricity generating turbines go round...

@Mik said in I think a red tide could be comin'.: It's hard to imagine the two parties will offer us up the same two candidates again. Maybe the Libertarians or the Greens or whoever will win because no one else shows up to vote. I'll have what he's having...

In the cited case, there is no doubt the juvies were trying to steal the guy's car. I think that's why you saw no attempted murder charges. etc.

I recall a documentary some years ago in which Shatner interviews Kate Mulgrew about her role as a Star Trek captain. Can’t remember the details but you could sense that Mulgrew had little patience for Shatner and his style. I thought she made Shatner look foolish. I do however think he is perfect fit in his current role as host of The Unexplained. He is actually quite funny.

@Axtremus said in When you've lost Fetterman...: The democratic principle of fair representation should endure. It does not. And DC statehood won't change that.

@Catseye3 said in Reunited with his wife: @jon-nyc said in Reunited with his wife: GSR? With near certainty that Horace is kidding, I can convey that GSR stands for "gunshot residue". For a moment, I thought he had omitted the "K"....

Heard a comedian recently doing a bit about things Californians could expect when moving to the South. Besides the heat and humidity, expect to be within five miles of a Dollar General. If you aren't, call their hotline and they'll build you one within six weeks.
