    Now, Mayor Amy Brewer is a lifelong friend of mine, even though I disagree with her stance on some things. I hope this gets settled amicably but I doubt it.

      Maybe people who are passionately pro-life should be more selective about things they display similar passion for.

      Education is extremely important.

        I’m pretty pro life but still think kicking that hornets nest locally was a very bad idea for a town that largely depends on tourism. Most all controversial subjects are bad for that.

          I quite believe that an elected official should be able to have a personal space where he operates as a private citizen, and a personal Facebook page can be such a space. In this case, it seems the Mayor brought official business to that space and made that a state-sponsored public forum.

            Agreed. Plus you need to have a thicker skin.

            This is a case of someone who has been in office too long - 20 years. I've experienced it myself. You kind of start to think your authority is greater than it actually is.

              She uses it for official business. Fuck her. I don’t do Facebook so on that level I could care less.
