If you’ve never identified as a woman, you can’t posssibly know how terrifying it is on the day to day. That’s why I encourage all men to identify as women one day per month, as a sensitivity training exercise.

    Education is extremely important.

It’s broad daylight, the police car is marked and he is in uniform. How do you make her “unscared”?

Of course her adrenaline pump was going, most people get scared when pulled over because it means a big fine, possible points thereby increasing car insurance possibly and a bunch of unknown hassles to follow.

I would love to see her interviewed as I would love to hear her point and what she proposes should have done differently but of course it’s a waste of a police officer’s time and her disrespect of him was undeniable (actually she disliked him because he gave her a ticket.)

There is no question that if she saw videos of deaths associated with texting and driving she would be scared straight.

Extreme patience and courtesy. Bravo for the cop.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Especially since I was kind of hoping he'd whack her with the attitude adjustment stick.

Oh, and George, the thread title should be "How not to talk to a cop". 'How to not talk to a cop' has a different meaning.

Oh, and Aqua? How did you miss that? This is your job. It's what we pay you to do.
