Dark Winds Season 2 was good. S3 they say will drop this week. There was an occult plot line they wove through and just kind of dropped toward the end but that’s ok.

Started this yesterday AM. 3/6 episodes in.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tourist_(TV_series)
The Tourist is a 2022 drama-thriller black comedy television series. It stars Jamie Dornan as the victim of a car crash who wakes up in a hospital in the Australian outback with amnesia.
Not really a comedy - at all.
Link to videoGood, but not great. 3 stars.

Finished Suits. Sort of hate-watched it by the end.

Well put. It went long, long, past its sell-by date.
And I found Meghan Markle annoying even back then.

Bad Monkey is about up.
I love Hiassen's books.
"Tourist Season" was hysterical, and "Striptease" was a much better book than movie. In fact, the book was pretty good.
Thanks for the heads up.

It's quite good. However, you have to understand that the 1st season incorporates storylines from the 2nd and 3rd books. Also some characters are composites of book characters.
2nd book is the best, by the way.
I think @Axtremus commented on the Chinese version. I watched about 12 episodes of the 36 episode series, which is only the 1st book. Moved kind of slow, so I gave up. It is much more faithful to the book(s).

Two episodes in - Vaughn is great. The setting's great. The narration's great.
The plot? Pure Hiassen.
Oh, the monkey, and the arm, are pretty good too.

We are looking for series that are a bit uplifting, not dark, dar, dark and tense. Any suggestions?

You might enjoy Kaos (referenced above).

Very enjoyable. Goldblum carries the show, but the rest of the cast is great as well.
The scene with Prometheus (Stephen Dillane) getting his liver eaten by the eagle is actually funny.
The Greek Gods' family tree explained - as in Kaos.

I liked Kaos a lot. As you said, Jeff Goldblum makes the show work: old school, real actor. Janet McTeer, is elegantly regal, and the guy who plays Posiden is Mediterraneanly oily. The younger people are randomly interchangable but a good plot line that keeps it fast and funny.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it, and it's worth a second watch.
What I liked is that it completes the story, and yet is open-ended enough for another season.
Goldblum....of course.
Speaking of which, years ago, this was taped to the inside of the door to a bathroom stall at work.
(sorry for the derail)
