You work those jobs until you can do better. I've worked them, I suspect several of us have.

Presumably he felt that his freedom was being taken away by being told he needed to wear a mask.

Now he's in jail, where he'll learn what it's like to actually have his freedom taken away. And his virginity if he's really lucky.

Maybe this is why people don’t want to work for low wages. They have to deal with obnoxious as hell people all day long. I wouldn’t do it.

Some idiot is going to come in spewing all kinds of hate and tell me about the constitution and his rights and how fucked up things are getting and I’m like I barely am going to have any money at the end of this diatribe. Fuck it.

My dad told me to never work in retail. It was about the only career advice he ever gave me. He was a very smart man.

      I was only joking

I worked in retail for a few years as a kid/young man.

It builds character, I’ll say that much.

        Only non-witches get due process.

Read the article. It is against Georgia law for a supermarket to require customers to wear a mask. They can request, but that's it.

I see some folks in the town stores still wearing masks. I see almost nobody out here on the rural route wearing one.

After vaccination, I don't understand why one would want to...

So, maybe it was some idiot with a gun arguing that everybody should be wearing a mask.

Either way, it was an idiot with a gun.

Yep. Stupid thing to shoot somebody over.

Which is why I always assume everybody is armed.

Should guns be taken away from such idiots?
Should such idiots be barred from possessing any gun to begin with?
What tests and/or procedures would you use to identify such idiots?

If one compares Canada and the USA, which have a number of cultural similarities, one might be left questioning the evidence behind that assertion.

Let Jolly believe what he wants. The fact of the matter is that Canada and the US are becoming vastly different countries in terms of shared political and social values. We have certainly never had the gun culture of the US as a part of our national identity. Likewise, our definition of liberty is quite different from that of the USA. Liberty to us is a single payer universal health care system and good governance, not the individual right to bear arms and the pursuit of happiness.

There is really no point of bringing Canada or the manners of its citizenry into this infernal debate over firearms that preoccupies Americans.

Liberty to us is a single payer universal health care system and good governance, not the individual right to bear arms and the pursuit of happiness.

There is really no point of bringing Canada or the manners of its citizenry into this infernal debate over firearms that preoccupies Americans.

Obviously, when I spoke of the inherent politeness of Canadian citizens, I wasn't referring to you and I 😆

I hoped and expected as much.

Some freedoms just seem extreme to those who don't enjoy them

Indeed. Now repeat after me..... Canadians are godless murderers of infants.

Someone, someday just might listen and nod their head out of politeness.

Look at the bright side...If the U.S. was Russia, with that long common border with Canada, your Russian would come in very handy.😄😄
