Mostly underwhelmed with their “new features,” but that’s not necessarily a bad thing if they they do under-the-hood improvements like stability, robustness, and efficiency. But from the keynote I cannot tell whether they did much of such under-the-hood improvements.
Only new feature I like is “Universal Control”. I may also like Safari’s new tab management user interface, but have to wait until I actually use it.
The new asynchronous flow controls introduced into the Swift language and the Xcode Cloud stuff sound nice but are targeted at developers. Hopefully that will let developers create code with fewer timing/synchronicity related bugs and let them do more thorough testing. But great tools won’t help developers who don’t know enough or care enough to pursue quality. It will still come down to the humans doing the development.

My 2014 iMac is not eligible for the upgrade to Mac OS 12.
As far as the iPad and iPhone go, it's interesting that Apple will now have a way for Android users to use FaceTime.
There was a lot of breath-holding, anticipating new MX hardware:
- MacBook Pro?
- MacMini?
- Large screen iMac?
None of that came to pass.
I'll probably continue with my aging iMac until Apple releases something bigger - though I might be tempted to give a look at the 24"....
