    Many things there that are very impressive! But it also looks like the final product leaves a great vulnerability totally exposed: what if tiny rocks and gravels get inside and are lodged or trapped inside the mid sole? This engineering marvel is like the Death Star full of exhaust ports.

        @bachophile I captured a multiple transit on Jupiter a few years ago.

        Link to video

        Yes, the resolution is not great but there are 4 "solar eclipses" on the planet at one time during the video sequence.

              @kluurs But that is not the general Robert E Lee, correct? Is that his son? Seems like pictures were not around when General Lee was that age.

                That’s not at all unusual for the time. It was actually common practice among higher ranked families in Europe and the US for boys to wear dressing gowns until they were 6-8 years old. The whole thing was called breeching, when the boy would graduate to pants.

                      @Copper

                      Interesting.

                      Something else mildly interesting, I met her and her husband when they were selling some homegrown software to a client I had in the early 90s.

                            Marsupial pouches are like the redneck ingenuity of evolution.

                            Education is extremely important.

                                        We have a couple of Great Blue Herons on the golf course.

                                        If you walk close to one and startle it sitting at the edge of a pond, it will really get your attention when those wings unfold.
