If you have like 200 acres and your house was in the middle of the land, then having a mass of houses build around you is kind of okay. But, with the way their land is......... Yuck. Definitely not worth staying I dont think.

I remember a column by George Will back in the 80s where he talked about Truman being the last ‘regular guy’ president in many ways (my words not his). The examples I remember was that he was the last president who didn’t go to college, and he was the last president who walked across the street to do his banking.

IIRC, he walked across the street to work, when the WH was undergoing renovation. There was an assassination attempt on him as well.
