I walked around Jegellonian University in Krakow once. There’s a plaque honoring a famous student: Nicolaus Copernicus.

I toured a tower house in Ireland recently, and they mentioned this interesting fact. In addition to that, the height of the stairs also was varied from step to step to slow down anyone running up the stairs.

Also, the lower floors had super narrow windows to prevent archery people from shooting arrows through them
