“It’s definitely cool.”This is SpaceX, a company that named their recovery barge "Of Course I Still Love You." It's a nod to "The Culture" books.
As you know, I read a lot of science fiction, and I'm always intrigued by the names that are given to rockets and ships.
I'm currently immersed in the "Revelation Space" world, and there are some pretty good names for their ships:
"Nostalgia for Infinity"
"Lighthugger"
"Accompaniment of Shadows"
"Gnostic Ascension"
"Scavenger's Daughter"In The Expanse, my favorite name was "The Weeping Somnambulist."
In "The Culture" universe, things get more clever:
"No More Mr Nice Guy"
"Just Read The Instructions" - also used by SpaceX.
"I Thought He Was With You"John Scalzi's no slouch either:
"Yes, Sir, That’s My Baby"
"Tell Me Another One"
