He goes on about Citizen Kane, but he doesn't mention all the shit that was being made back then. People always do that. It's like bemoaning the lack of The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix, but conveniently forgetting the fact that pretty much all the other pop music was dross.

I tried to watch Citizen Kane once. I was not entertained.

Yeah, it didn't do much for me, either. I find old movies awful. I hate that phoney faux British accent they all put on, and the squeaky buttoned-down morals.

I really liked pretty much all the Marvel movies.

            They're not exactly thought-provoking.

Yes, sometimes. I can enjoy a mindless Marvel CGI superhero movie once a year. But not twice or thrice a year.

For me, one of the highlights of having young kids was taking them to the movies. Even though most kids' movies today are admittedly very PC, and driven by wokeness, you can still enjoy them. It's living in the moment.

It was a sad day when my two said they'd rather go to the movies with their own stupid friends.

                  He makes some good points.

But, when it comes to making a Youtube video, your job is to not bore me.

The vast majority of movies have always been shit. And before you say 'Yes, but what about the classics????', how many movies from 1968 or 1935 does anybody go back and actually watch?

I've been watching Oklahoma on Disney+

It has me rolling in the aisles, I love it

The lack of wokeness is shocking

                    Shocking

Woke standards have changed so much in the last 50 years.

John Wayne movies too, try The Quiet Man or McLintock, misogynist! Awesome!

I think that there are good movies from each year. But some are so specific to that particular time and year, that yes, if you go back 10-20 later and watch them, you think, "Wow, that isn't a good movie".

To me, it should be more, "That was a good movie when it was made, but today has different interests, trends, different time of your life, etc, so it is still a good movie, but not today" (Hope that makes sense)
