MFR flattens her hair. Seems like a lot of extra time to me.

Yes, and I am a 'wash it, comb it, hit the road' kind of gal. I don't even wear any makeup, not even mascara.

I also suspect the least bit of humidity will undo all the flattening. Boing!

      Too. Much. Work.

I like @brenda saying "wash, brush, go out." That's all it should be.

Mrs. George used to dye her hair (getting older's a bitch) and she stopped. Her natural color is silver streaked with her natural redhead color. It looks a TON better.

But, she wants to grow it out - now we're talking hair dryer, curlers, etc.

F Dat. Wash. Brush. Go out!

It's official. Not gonna do this 'do' again. Interesting to try, and I'm glad it's not permanent or even semi-permanent.

You fellas probably don't even think much about your hairstyle. I lean toward that camp.

I've worn my hair longer than what I had before today's cut. Younger gals can do that, but not so much at my age. In college, my hair was hip length. Not down to the waist, but another 10 inches or so.

I kept the ends trimmed, but let it grow longer for many years. When I decided to get it cut, I had 24 inches removed. Two feet of hair. That left me with long hair still, but a more manageable length. I regret not having a picture taken before that cut.

I am so relieved to have my hair cut again. I was positively giddy all day in anticipation. 😀

Well, the difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut is about four weeks.

I'm sure you'll eventually find a cut you really like...

I like the cut, just not the hair straightening using a flatiron. There are people who would very much like to have natural curl hair, and they spend time and money to get curls. I have natural curl, which I like, and I'm sticking with that. I'm happy with what momma nature gave me, and with my cut. Life is good!

                Just as an aside...

Lewis Grizzard told a hilarious story about a sexual encounter with a long-haired young lady, back in his school days.

I can't tell it like he could, but it involved a steamy car interior, a hot Georgia night and a hand-cranked car window. Just picture your mostly undressed date, with her hair wound up in the window crank mechanism and no way to get it unwound...

I thought it was interesting that hair grows a maximum length depending on the person.

@brenda can grow her hair really long. But other people, even if they never get it cut, their hair will never reach that length.

I wonder if that changes with age. My hair used to grow at least an inch every month, but now it's about half that. Maybe hormonal changes as we age?
