I am heterosexual
-
I have never lied about my sexuality, but I have let people assume... I mean, I was involved in Drama and Music... I would have been kicked out if they thought I was straight...
-
I have had to come out and let gay friends know I was straight.
-
Iām pretty sure my dad used to think I was gay.
-
I have been called a derogatory name for homosexuals. Iām pretty sure every HS boy has....
-
I have had to hide my heterosexuality...
-
I am not comfortable giving public displays of affection.
-
I have pretended a past girlfriend was just a friend...
-
-
-
I AM white! Along with some African and Asian. Same as you...
-
I HAVE been discriminated against because of my race. See question1.
-
I am often the only person of my race in a room. Seriously, I have an Asian guy, an African American guy, and an Indian girl as my staff.
-
Iām from Pittsburgh. I am always mocked for my accent.
-
I havenāt been told Iām attractive for my race. But thatās because Iām not very attractive for my race.
-
I have been a victim of violence because of my race.
-
I have been called a racist slur.
-
I donāt even understand what that statement means
-
A stranger HAS asked to touch my hair.

Yes, this questionnaire's very fucking existence already covered that.

Spending the time or having the inclination to even read through that list, much less complete it and tally it, indicates profound privilege.
The giddiness of the people that put this list together was my biggest take while I was reading this.
Imagine being bat-shit crazy and having your culture support your bat-shit craziness 100%. That's a privilege never before enjoyed in human history.

Itās a grand experiment.

May I suggest that if you disagree with some of the basic tenets of āyour religionā then maybe it isnāt your religion?
-
Kinda
-
Yes, I have. Typically when gay friends find out I am straight...
-
yep. It was a really strange bar.
-
Yes, I am a man.
-
Ever been caught in your zipper? Thatās never comfortable.
You know, personally I think that all of these āintersectional people have a completely inaccurate view of what it means to be a straight white guy...

I got a 36 but might have lost count along the way.
Your lack of care and consideration for the test is a sign of privilege. Mark it a 37. (And yes, Klaus, you can build a recursive loop here and make jon's score infinity.)

I like the question about "feeling poor". Growing up we lived in one of the largest "mansions" in town, but it was in a state of benign neglect because we could barely make the payments. My Dad worked as many as 3 jobs and my Mother 1 job. I didn't have curtains in my bedroom until I was in middle school. Hand me down clothes, growing our own food, almost never eating out. No vacations, no travel. But I didn't feel poor. My parents wouldn't hear of it.
-
Does the "w" in ywca stand for "wanker"?
-
-
This whole āprivilegeā thing is making a lot of inaccurate assumptions from the start.
-
OK, so this whole thing can be boiled down to 'If you ever had anything good in your life it's white privilege'.
Surely nothing could be the result of making good choices.

Suppression of the masses, comrade. Proletariat power struggles.
FFS they can't even get their own damn schtick, they have to steal theirs from 100 years ago while at the same time completely ignoring how that panned out the first time.

Every so called privileged person has heard the struggles of their parents and grandparents and how they coped and how it built a go forward plan. None included lighting the US on fire and this sort of activism so it feels alien and unbecoming of the right mindset.

Is the ywca affiliated with the ymca? Because those guys pretty much define privilege around here. Our local gym is like a club for middle class women who don't need to work. We joined for a year, realised we couldn't afford their exorbitant fees, and quit. Then we got a load of letters asking for freaking charitable donations. Now they hold bloody events at 7am on a Saturday morning which wake me up to some bollocks being yelled out over a microphone.
OK, I'm probably getting a bit off track here.

If you want a bit of entertainment, you could fill out this questionnaire as Donald J. Trump.
