One metric has US manufacturing at 37 year high. Yes US manufacturing and we can’t even find people to do the work.

The ISM index measures changes from month to month, not some ansolute level. You can get a very high index going from a very bad month to a very good month, but you cannot use it to compare whether a particular month is really better than all other months on an absolute level. See https://www.investopedia.com/terms/i/ism-mfg.asp

Now address the talent shortage for these very good jobs as that is the real point.

        https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/04/economy/manufacturing-jobs-economy/index.html

Is Biden going to produce better jobs? And if he does then what happens to these unfilled jobs. Remember we are not talking minimum wage at $15 which is the liberal fave.

Regardless Reuters and CNN think it is an issue so I am quoting your tribe.

You are wrong to think that CNN is somehow "my tribe," but putting tribalism aside, let's address the "labor shortage" claim:

In that CNN article you also see a link to a 2012 article (also CNN) saying that there has been labor shortage back then. So this "labor shortage" claim has been around for a long time. Yet over the years the mean wages have not increased much. You'd think that a truly tight labor supply with ample excess demands would lead to notable wage hike, but that has not happen. That lead me to think that the "labor shortage" claim itself is bunk, just employers unwilling to raise wages to fill the "job openings" that they claim exist. For jobs that require some modicum of skills, you also do not see employers sponsoring more trainings to develop the workforce they claim they need.

So until I see wages materially go up (and ideally also when I see employers materially increase offers for training), I shall continue to take these "labor shortage" claims with a big grain of salt.

Our mean wage increase this last year was 24%.

"CLS" as in "Clinical Laboratory Scientist", "Child Life Specialist", "Certified Leasing Specialist", "Certified Lubrication Specialist", "Certified Lactation Specialist" ?

By any chance you are suggesting that a particular healthcare or life science specialty's wage grow during a pandemic stricken year is somehow representative of the general labor market?

If "all you know" is a group of CSP's wages, then it is safe to say that you do not know enough to meaningfully opine on the question asked in this thread.

Being an absolute low-EQ dumbass, has never stopped you from posting anything.

BTW, that 24% wasn't an opinion. That was the result of a national salary survey.
