Doesn't seem like much of a contest. A decent bear would only weigh five or six hundred pounds. A UPS truck with half a load is bound to weigh ten thousand pounds. Maybe more.

You just work around the damaged stuff...Same thing you do with a deer that's been hit.
Cow dresses off a half, hog dresses off a third. I'm guessing a bear would be closer to a third. Haven't been around but a couple, when they were being skinned and dressed, so I'm not sure.
Say you lose 25% due to blunt trauma...500 pound bear still ought to give you 175 pounds or better.
Interesting factoid...A smaller skinned bear looks a lot like a skinned human, once you take the heads off...
