Sometimes we forget that democrats hate the USA.

It is good to be reminded.

        1. It’s a court ordered disclosure.
        2. We the citizens of the USA should know what rules our elected government follows when carrying out drone strikes in our name.

Of course they don’t tell you that civilian deaths were the same during the Obama years and Trump years

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civilian_casualties_from_U.S._drone_strikes#Disclosure_of_figures_by_U.S._government

Context is something you need to do on your own, or you can accept the misleading media narrative.

          This is getting old.

Where do you get the data to make that comparison? According to your own link, it says that:
... Trump designated large areas in Yemen and Somalia to be "areas of active hostilities," thus exempting them from disclosure.[27] the Trump administration also ignored the 2017 and 2018 deadlines for an annual accounting,[27] and on March 6, 2019, Trump issued an order revoking the requirement.

So there were years where Trump excluded large areas of Afghanistan from being counted, and years when Trump administration revoked accounting requirements. What data did you use to make the comparison and where did you get that data from? (Did you normalize the data since Obama had eight years and Trump only had four?)

Find a better source Ax for civilian deaths to prove me wrong.

Of course under Obama/Biden drone strikes were 10x as many than Bush. So there is that. LOL

                  1. The Biden Admin could have appealed the court order, there certainly are National Security justifications to do so.

                  2. Were there any questionable drone strikes? Any at all that didn’t occur in Afghanistan or Syria? None that I am aware of. The people of the United States are not entitled to know every single part of how the sausage is made. Need to know l? Not this time.

                  3. Trump gave the military permission to take necessary action in an active terror situation without consulting the White House so long as certain criteria were met? Good for him. Biden Administration hamstrings the military, requiring the decisions to go through another round of bureaucracy while lives are on the line? Dumbass.

                  4. Why was The NY Times even wanting this information? There were no questionable drone strikes deserving of investigation.

I feel like we didn’t read the same wiki page. I quoted it in entirety and you cherry picked stuff out of context. And to your reference of Trump not recording... well wasn’t it in place for Obama’s term either if you read carefully.

So here is my sum. Obama increased drone strike by 10 times Bush. Whatever Trump did, had no measurable impact on civilian casualties. MSN writes an article that makes Biden look like some hero but fails to note that he and Obama invented Drone strikes on steroids and civilian casualties didn’t get worse under Trump. My sum is so so much closer to the truth.

Media has had a fascination or fixation with air force targeting and civilian collateral damage since WWII. Nothing new here.

There is also balancing that against the civilians who would have been killed had we not struck. Hard to know, but surely not zero.
