For some reason, I hadn't watched this until now. Very disturbing and human.

As I was watching, listening to him talk about the man-to-man fighting, I was thinking about how today's conflicts have become, in a sense, like video games. He addresses the same point at the end of the interview, how bombs, and shooting at a distance are impersonal. Yet, when you stab another man in the heart and watch him die, blood coming from his mouth, it's quite a different thing.

However, I recall reading some stories about drone "pilots" who have a similar reaction - though impersonal, that kind of warfare takes its toll as well.

"Now look here, you Baltic gas passer... " - Mik, 6/14/08

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
