"...time for Breakey!"
Tomorrow I'm having breakfast with one of my surgeon friends. We haven't seen each other in over a year.
I'm vaccinated, so...it should be fine.
Where are we going?

Yeah, it's in a bowling alley.
The breakfast menu: http://www.thecountrycuprestaurant.com/menu.html
Waitresses (can I say that?) with big hair, and a pencil behind their ear. In another time, they would have had a Pall Mall dangling from their lips.
"What'll ya have, honey?"

I may have mentioned it in the past, but I have to re-iterate that the surgeons with whom I spent my day became my friends. Well, most of them, at least. The guys in my practice were my partners, but I only spent about 15 minutes a day with them. I had much more of a comeraderie with the surgeons.

What an outstanding menu!
I should add.
When we had our horse, this place was about 5 minutes from work, and about 10 minutes from the barn. If I had an early day, I'd go there for breakfast before a ride. I'd sit at the counter (yeah, they have a counter) and watch the guy on the other side making hash browns, bacon and eggs.
Love that place. It's not fancy, at all.
But as the line from City Slickers said, "The food's brown, hot, and there's a lot of it."
