Onerous and unnecessary. I suspect the vast majority of shooting instigators are by unlicensed guns, and self-defense by licensed ones.
When you're in fear for your life, and seconds count, remember, the police are only minutes away.
If a shooting is purely self-defense, should a person go to jail for not having the FOID card?
