Happy Easter!

Enjoy this wonderful day! As a treat here, the weather will be in the mid 70s by afternoon. That's a welcome contrast to the frequent 30s and 40s for Easter in Minnesoooooota.
Roast lamb shoulder with potatoes and asparagus will be followed by vanilla coconut cake for dessert. It's shaped like a bunny, and it's even standing up this year. Another miracle on Easter!
Pictures of the bunny please!
Here we are having an old friend over who just lost one of her beloved dogs Friday. It will be warm enough to eat outside so she is bringing the other one over to romp in the yard and chase squirrels.
On the menu is smoked rack of lamb, grilled sparagus and a baby romaine salad. For dessert we will each have a DeBrand's chocolate truffle. Not sure if you have ever heard of them. They are in Fort Wayne Indiana and their chocolates are out of this world. MFR got them for me for Easter, along with a chocolate bunny. I got her flowers.

Yum! I love lamb. And asparagus. And vanilla. And coconut. And cake.
You could probably make coconut vanilla lamb with asparagus cake for desert and I would like it. But I prefer your ingredient combinations better.

I would definitely cook for you, Horace. I appreciate someone who enjoys their food. It's not fun to cook for the fussy ones.

I agree, Brenda. Who can afford to be fussy when everybody else you're trying to eat with is? I just want to eat, thank you. Opinions about what's good just delay that.

@jolly Must a big event when y'all have Easter together.
Usually Christmas is the big one. Wasn't but a dozen of us down at the in-laws. Still, the egg wars continued, we caught some fish down at the pond and the guitars and dobro got a workout.
Along with stuffing ourselves, of course. My 81 year-old MIL cooked enough to feed three times the number of people we had, so leftovers were plentiful.

Puck-puck can only squeak and stuff, but if he could talk, he'd probably be saying Happy Easter. That and how much he's a fan of Timothy hay.

Puck-puck? You have a bunny?

Hell yeah, a basement bunny! He's a lion-hair. We've had 'em for awhile. He's got an elaborate two-story hutch outside. Every day we take 'em out and let him stretch his legs in the yard.
His name's Puck because, y'know, black round thing.

@aqua-letifer Sweet baby!

Happy Easter!
Mrs. Phibes appears to be baking. Last night I cooked some blackened tilapia, which was delicious, so hopefully I'm going to get my reward.
