Anecdotally, I didn't see many never-Trumpers who weren't already solid, reliable lefties. 89th being one exception that springs to mind.
Jonah Goldberg?

and George Will. But I excepted them above, as people who get paid to appeal to large groups of other people.
Not to say they didn't have the visceral revulsion; I'm sure both did. I don't have to respect the revulsion though, and I can still admit that their revulsion happened to coincide with a predictable net increase in their pop culture popularity.

Yeah, but you've pretty much dismissed anybody who didn't like Trump as being an emotional thinker, presumably as opposed to the strict adherents of logic who make up his base.

They're higher on the "susceptibility to revulsion at other humans" scale. Or the "dainty princess" scale, as I've sometimes called it. It's not categorically wrong, but I think it's a difference.

Going after Senate seats will be tough. There isn't much in 2022 that can be contested except for Georgia and Raphael Warnock and maybe Mark Kelly in Arizona.
I think Republicans stand a chance of gaining big by going after Mayors, City Councils, and School Boards. Attack Democratic Governors and State Legislatures.
Take California... I think you could really push on the fact that their lockdown didn't work. Look at how many people were put out of business and out of work and to no good effect. California still wound up being one of the worst states in cases and deaths per capita, all while under Democratic leadership and one of the strictest lockdowns in the country... I would continually point to Florida and how Florida thrived and survived so much better. I would publish everything I could about San Francisco's $5000 per month homeless tents. I would point out to San Diego parents that their teachers are refusing to teach their children in a controlled and safe environment but are traveling to the border to teach untested migrant children while still being paid by their tax dollars. I would remind them how far behind their students have fallen behind other states that open. I would point out over and over and over again to minority communities that police violence and overreach has happened over and over and over again in communities where the police fall under the command of Democrat mayors and city councils following the dictates and policies those mayors and city councils have enacted. I would remind them that THEY have chosen to vote for these Democrats for the last 50 years and they should ask "How has that worked out for you?"
The RNC needs to spend their money on getting their small local candidates set up with an excellent website. Help them get online ads that will actually reach people. Help them get community support. Get statewide or even national exposure for candidates going after the Loudoun County School Board. Remind parents in Loudoun County that while their students are being waitlisted at colleges due to those colleges new "Equity Standards", their school district was instead making national news for Dr. Seuss and for threatening parents that don't want their children to be taught that they are racist. Get the parents to ask the questions at school board meetings "What exactly are the inherently racist policies that this board has had in place over the past 10 years?" "What are the statistical results from other districts that have used these equity policies?" "How have minority students from this district faired over the last 20 years?" Go completely grassroots... If they do that, the House seats will come along for the ride. And you may actually see a little of that fundamental transformation of America that Obama talked about so much...

It is also very easy to write off the majority of people who voted for Trump as being a bunch of drooling knuckle-draggers, and equally inaccurate.
You have consistently criticised all of Trump's detractors for smugly thinking that his fan-base is made up of people who can't think straight, whilst simultaneously doing the exact same thing yourself.

I try to dive into actual differences, is all. Not just categorize everybody as a "douchebag in their own way". My method is progress. Indeed, it's the scientific method. It also allows me to change sides at will, since the political climate may allow one side to express their antisocial tendencies more than the other side, at any given time.
