That Tucker Carlson interview was well creepy.
You've got to wonder how guys like that get any votes.
He also uses too much product in his hair. Looks like an axe commercial.

Matt Gaetz’s communications director Luke Ball resigned Friday, days after his boss was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl and more.
One Hill source familiar with the decision told the Daily Caller that Ball struggled with the choice to depart and did not want to bring further criticism on the congressman, but thought it best to part ways.
“The Office of Congressman Matt Gaetz and Luke Ball have agreed that it would be best to part ways,” a joint statement from Gaetz’s office said. “We thank him for his time in our office, and we wish him the best moving forward.”
Even rats (and not saying that Ball is one, to be clear) know when it's time to jump off the ship.
The pair of them look like sleazy politicians out of a movie.
Again, why would anybody vote for this guy?
Oh, sorry, I'm being emotional again. We should look at his policies.

Right, because politicians don't spent any time time at all working on how they present themselves, as nobody worries about this.
Watching that Tucker Carlson interview doesn't make you wonder the same thing? He comes across as a sleaze ball. Sure, he's got great policies (I actually know nothing about his policies), but there's a reason we've got eyes and ears.

Finally you've found a Tucker Carlson bit you are comfortable commenting on. Wherein he interviews a politician you're disgusted by.

Actually, I quite liked Tucker's response. It seemed honest, and he seemed pretty repelled by the guy too.
So, when I agree with something somebody says or does I like it. Just like the rest of humanity.

Good lord....can it get any weirder?
https://nypost.com/2021/04/02/matt-gaetzs-alleged-scandals-include-orgies-blackmail-extortion/
An alleged orgy with prostitutes. Accusations of sex with an underage girl. A trophy photo of a woman wearing only a hula hoop. And a convoluted extortion plot involving a likely dead American hostage in Iran.
Even by Florida standards, the Matt Gaetz saga is downright bizarre — and getting weirder by the day.
Before this week, the young Sunshine State congressman and ally of former President Donald Trump was best known, like his mentor, for his ambitious conservatism and promontory coiffure.
But this week, the Republican has faced a daily flurry of scandalous headlines.
Most seriously, he is being investigated by the Justice Department for allegedly having sex with a 17-year-old girl, and for paying for her to travel with him across state lines, potentially violating federal sex-trafficking laws.
Gaetz denies the allegations — but not the fact of the investigation.
Then, on Thursday, CNN alleged that he had shown fellow lawmakers nude photos of women he said he’d slept with, including one photographed wearing a hula hoop, and nothing else.
There have also been claims by two of Gaetz’s enemies that the FBI has photos of him in a “sexual orgy with underage prostitutes.”
Why, yes. It can...
Rep. Matt Gaetz and fellow Florida lawmakers played a creepy, competitive, “sex challenge” game while working at the statehouse ten years ago — in which participants won varying points depending on who they slept with, according to a new report.
Competitors could earn extra points for bedding a married legislator or spending the night at a college sorority house, a female GOP insider told Business Insider in the report, published Friday.
And anyone who slept with one particular conservative female politician “won the whole game regardless of points,” said the source, who spoke to Business Insider on condition of anonymity.
That woman was known as the game’s “snitch,” after the coveted flying golden ball in Quidditch, a magical sport played by young wizards in the Harry Potter book series, the source said.
The source declined to name the “snitch” to protect her privacy, and told Business Insider she “heard specific references of Gaetz being involved and scoring points,” back when he served in the state House of Representatives.
The latest sordid revelation comes just when it seemed that the accusations couldn’t possibly get any raunchier against Gaetz, who is already mired in a federal sex-trafficking investigation.

He's toast.
Yet behind the scenes, a growing number of Gaetz’s Republican colleagues are predicting his days on Capitol Hill are growing short.
“In reality, yes, he won’t last long,” one member told The Hill on Friday.
The forecasts seem to be based on some combination of political pragmatism and wishful thinking.
Gaetz, who stands among the fiercest defenders of former President Trump, is no stranger to controversy, but the latest allegations — which have stemmed from a broader sex trafficking investigation involving the prostitution of minors — are by far the most serious.
Most of Gaetz’s Republican colleagues have remained silent following the news of the DOJ probe — at least publicly. And GOP lawmakers said that trend will likely continue unless Gaetz is indicted.
Still, those same voices are quick to add that Gaetz faces huge challenges in rehabilitating his image given the severity of the allegations against him. Several members referred to the scandal as “bizarre,” with one telling The Hill bluntly: “It sounds really bad.”
“My bar is always: charges filed. But if these [allegations] are true, the status of his committee assignments and congressional seat are the least of his concerns,” another lawmaker said, referring to the potential for criminal charges.

The House Ethics Committee announced Friday it was opening investigations into allegations of sexual misconduct against Republican Reps. Matt Gaetz and Tom Reed.
The probes come amid a Department of Justice investigation into Gaetz's travel to the Bahamas with women, and specifically whether those women were paid to travel for sex, which could violate federal law, NBC News has previously reported.
Reed, meanwhile, announced last month he would not see re-election following accusations from a former lobbyist that he had fondled her at a Minneapolis bar in 2017, and he apologized to his family and the lobbyist for his actions.

Q: why did you pay for your sexual services with Venmo, Mr Gaetz?
Gaetz: someone told me to use that for all my minor purchases.

Ruh roh...
A confession letter written by Joel Greenberg in the final months of the Trump presidency claims that he and close associate Rep. Matt Gaetz paid for sex with multiple women—as well as a girl who was 17 at the time.
“On more than one occasion, this individual was involved in sexual activities with several of the other girls, the congressman from Florida’s 1st Congressional District and myself,” Greenberg wrote in reference to the 17-year-old.
“From time to time, gas money or gifts, rent or partial tuition payments were made to several of these girls, including the individual who was not yet 18. I did see the acts occur firsthand and Venmo transactions, Cash App or other payments were made to these girls on behalf of the Congressman.”

Far be it from me to make any remarks based on appearance, but I don't rate his chances very highly.

Joel Greenberg pleads guilty to sex trafficking
Joel Greenberg, the former Florida county tax collector and righthand man of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), will plead guilty to sex trafficking as part of his plea deal with the Justice Department, according to Insider.
It was reported Thursday that Greenberg was ready to plead guilty to some of the initial string of 33 charges against him. Now, Insider reports that the charge sheet has been shrunk down to just six as part of his plea deal. Charges are said to include sex-trafficking, wire fraud, and identity theft.
The agreement will come as deeply unwelcome news for Gaetz, who is under federal investigation for his alleged involvement in the Greenberg case. According to Insider, Greenberg will agree to give his full cooperation to the government in his case and other potential related crimes, meaning he could spill to the investigators looking into his links with Gaetz.
Last month, when Greenberg’s defense attorney, Fritz Scheller, first floated the idea that his client would soon accept a plea agreement, he commented: “I’m sure Matt Gaetz is not feeling very comfortable today.
Best comment from the RWEC:
"Does this plea deal mean Gaetz should start worrying? Naah– he should have started worrying weeks ago."

Gaetz girlfriend gets immunity.
Prosecutors granted immunity to an ex-girlfriend of Representative Matt Gaetz before she testified last week in front of a federal grand jury hearing evidence in the investigation of the congressman, according to a source familiar with the matter.
Gaetz has been under investigation to determine if he violated sex trafficking laws and obstructed justice in that probe. Gaetz has previously denied all wrongdoing, and has said he has never paid for sex nor had sex with an underage girl.
The woman, who CBS News is not naming to protect her privacy, testified in front of a federal grand jury in Orlando last Wednesday. She is viewed as a potential key witness, according to two sources familiar with the investigation. One of the sources said she has information related to the investigation of both the sex trafficking and obstruction allegations.
"This may be a willing participant who has a smart lawyer who sought an immunity deal from the government," said former prosecutor and CBS News legal analyst Rikki Kleiman. "The government does not give immunity blindly, they know what they're getting in exchange."
