        I used to work with a hand surgeon who was very aggressive about reimplanting traumatic amputations. Nice guy, but painfully slow. One digit would take 8-10 hours.

        As he grew older, he adopted the maxim, "Never try to reimplant one digit unless it's the thumb."

          I'd like to see a video of how much of the original hand functionality was restored by the surgery. There's a very long spectrum between "able to grab a medium sized thing" and "performing brain surgery".
