Man, I love this kid. He plays hard, hits harder, loves doing the dirty work across the middle, and fights for every yard. He just turned down a lot of money from Baltimore and Philadelphia to stay in Pittsburgh...

Wow - surprises me that a talent like him had to take a pay cut. Kudos for character.

Until you have a career-ending injury on a home-town discount.

The NFL stands for Not For Long. I understand taking a small cut to stay with a good organization or to stay in a city where your family has roots, but the big money is very finite and has to last for the rest of your life.

One year at 8 million would take care of things nicely if you're not an idiot.

            3 parts to this story.

            1. The kid is making $120K for every video he posts on Social Media. He’s got an avid non-football following. He will be fine after he leaves the NFL.

            2. It could be a calculated risk. The other teams offered more but they were on multiple year deals. The salary cap was cut drastically this year, but the new streaming and tv deal extensions just signed means the cap is going to rise significantly over the next five years. Waiting a year for a long term deal makes a ton of sense, especially on a team that will be shedding a lot of empty cap over the next year.

            3. The kid is so much better than his numbers. For some reason, the former OC loved the dink & dunk last two years. This hurt the entire offense, but JuJu the most. He loves Ben and has become a good friend to Mason Rudolph (somebody else the league is sleeping on).

The greatest quarterback in the world can't function well if his offensive line is bad and, as a result, he is running for his life most of the time.

So I see why you are concerned about the offensive line of the Bengals, Mik.

The Bengals haven't had the same success that their division rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, have had over the years.

Time for a Stupid Question. I can't find the answer on the Internet.

                  Is "franchise" footballspeak for "team"?

                      I happen to like them.

Sure... Show your contemporary uniforms vs. the Steelers Throwbacks...That's hardly fair. Here's a better comparison of the modern uniforms of both teams.

Notice the clean line and stripe along TJ Watt's leg and how it stays centered as he launches onto the Bengal's QB. Notice how the Bengals leg stripe seems to twist? I can't tell if that's because of the design or if it's from the leg twisting in weird ways as the quarterback cowers in fear as he is driven into the ground...

I also like the Bengals uniforms, Mik.

And those bumble bee uniforms the Steelers sometimes wear look ridiculous, I think.

It seems to me like most people don't like the Bengals uniforms.

However, I think they look cool and unique. I guess I'm in the minority when it comes to that.

                                    Offensive line. Simple as that.

However, the only NFL team that I really care about are the New England Patriots.
