For a time, the theory was that because people have fewer things to do during lockdowns, they would procreate.
But now surveys suggest that there is no “baby boom” due to the lockdown.
Instead, there is a “baby bust” because people just put their procreation plans on hold. In many regions people just have less sex altogether.
